NEW! LWMOOCS, the leading international conference about Learning with Massive Open Online Courses, announces an expansion of its scope to “blended and remote learning” and invites late submissions through June 24, 2020. Researchers and practitioners from around the world will join together in an all-online blended/hybrid learning format for three days of content discovery, experiences, keynote speakers, and lightning round speakers. We are pleased to announce a late-paper submission phase (June 2020) to allow authors to join the conversation. We are also pleased to announce a special track on Emergency Remote Learning Case Studies and we encourage authors to consider submissions.

The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. IEEE has been monitoring the developing COVID-19 pandemic (Coronavirus). After studying and evaluating the announcements, guidance, and news released by relevant national departments, we are sorry to announce that the in-person gathering of the 2020 Learning with MOOCS Conference (LWMOOCs), scheduled to be held 30 September – 2 October 2020, Antigua, Guatemala has been canceled. LWMOOCs 2020 will now be held as a virtual conference, to be held 30 September – 2 October 2020 with a completely revised fees and registration structure. And in 2021 we will go to Antigua, Guatemala. See you there too !

The 4th Industrial Revolution: Challenges and Opportunities

This IEEE conference provides academic and industry professionals the opportunity to discuss research into MOOC technologies as well as the practical aspects of creating and offering MOOCs to diverse worldwide audiences. Now in its seventh edition, LWMOOCs is a respected international forum to collaborate, share, network, learn, and display the latest advances in MOOCs. This edition will be the first one in Latin America, with the aim of spreading the MOOC movement and involving new institutions to enhance teaching and learning through technology.

Topics for Discussion

We call for submissions from a variety of disciplines and topics. We encourage submissions that build on the theme of enhancing workforce diversity and inclusion.
